ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Michelle Kiesanowski, I'm 26 and I am fascinated with sport, fitness, health and how the human body works. Sport has always played a big part in my life. I was involved in the sport of athletics for 10 years and was the New Zealand junior champion for 400m hurdles. In 2002 I took up the sport of cycling and am now a member of the New Zealand women's road cycling team and have raced throughout Europe and North America.
In 2002 I graduated from Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Recreation Management - majoring in Sport Management. I am due to complete my Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine through the University of Otago in October 2007, with a focus on sports nutrition, women's health and exercise prescription.
LIFESTYLE BALANCE
Lifestyle Balance is all about getting the best out of YOU. I will provide you with personalised support and do my very best to help you to achieve your goals. I will help you to find the correct balance so that you can get the best out of your life. My aim here is to encourage and help people to live a healthier, more balanced life and to make people realise how we can control our health in the future by choosing a healthy lifestyle now. Whether you want to improve your overall well-being, lose weight, or train for a sporting event, I am sure that I can be of great help to you and get you in great shape so that you can live a healthier and happier life.
The human body is an incredible machine and too many people do not treat their bodies as they need to be treated. In my opinion, too many people nowadays rely on medications to help treat conditions that have developed as a result of bad lifestyle choices. If more people focused on diet and exercise as a means to good health many would not need medication later in life to treat chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heart disease. We tend to take our good health for granted until things begin to turn bad.
I have been lucky enough in my life to meet some incredibly talented and knowledgeable people who I have learned a lot from. I have a great deal of knowledge through my experiences and time in competitive sport and I hope to pass on my knowledge to you.
What I can offer you:
- Personalised advice and packages on training, nutrition and healthy lifestyle options.
- I can act as your 'mentor.' If there is something that I can't help you with, I can refer you to someone who can -
